Two Self-directed Courses on Evidence-Based Natural Health
*** First Course Now Available ***
The vast majority of New Zealanders take dietary supplements or use Complementary and Alternative Medicines and Therapies (CAM). Yet health professionals receive little if any training on this subject. Sometimes the patient may know more than you do.
Many supplements and therapies are nonsense or even harmful, but there are some that are supported by high quality research. Studies investigating the knowledge of health care professionals show that they mostly rate their knowledge in this area as inadequate, are not confident in answering patient enquiries, but do want to learn more. These courses has been requested by many health professionals to fill a gap in their knowledge as no other such courses are available in New Zealand.
Completing these two courses will give you a overview of the whole subject, from Acupuncture and Bach remedies, to Yoga and Zinc, so that you have a good basic understanding of this important and growing area.
